Telegram is one of the most-used apps in Ethiopia — news, communities, and businesses all live there. Until now, running an ad campaign across Telegram channels meant DM-ing individual channel owners, negotiating a price by hand, hoping the post actually went up on time, and trusting that the payment would go through fairly on both sides. Fana Ads exists to fix that.

Fana Ads is a Telegram-first advertising marketplace that connects advertisers directly with Telegram channel publishers, with escrow protection on every booking. You don't need to leave Telegram to use it — the entire marketplace runs inside a bot, with an optional web dashboard (mini app) for a fuller view of your campaigns, channels, and wallet.

The problem with advertising on Telegram today

If you've ever tried to place an ad on a Telegram channel the old way, you know the friction: you find a channel that looks like a fit, message the owner, wait for a reply, negotiate a price with no reference point for what's fair, send money up front with no guarantee the post will actually go up, and then hope the channel owner keeps the post live for as long as promised.
